Microchipping
According to the American Humane Association, every year millions of dogs and cats are brought to the animal shelters with only 15 percent of dogs and 2 percent of cats without ID tags or microchips being successfully reunited with their owners. Increase your odds of finding your pet if he or she gets lost by using a HomeAgain microchip.
During a simple procedure, which can be performed in the room during your pet’s examination, the microchip is implanted under your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. The HomeAgain microchip is as small as a grain of rice and serves as a permanent identification. Each chip has a unique number that is registered to your pet. If your dog or cat becomes lost and someone brings them to get scanned at a veterinary office or shelter, the scanner will display your pet’s number and your contact information can be obtained. You can then be successfully reunited with your loved one.
